Kappler is expanding into the technology and training arena with a major addition to its corporate campus.
The company has broken ground for construction of the Kappler Technology and Training Center to leverage Kappler’s legacy of innovation in chemical and biohazard protection. The 49,000-square-foot facility will be built in phases, with the initial 20,000 square feet to be completed by December.
The photo above was taken at the groundbreaking ceremony for Kappler’s new facility, which will be across the street from the corporate headquarters on Grimes Drive in Guntersville. Company personnel are shown along with members of Chorba Contracting, which is doing the construction work. Company founder George Kappler is in the middle (holding company mascot, Harry). President and CEO Laura Kappler-Roberts is to George’s right, with R&D Director Jay Nicholson (in white shirt) behind George and Laura. They made sure to practice safe distancing for the groundbreaking ceremony.
