Kappler Introduces A New Garment

The garment is called Provent Plus and has recently been certified to NFPA 1999 as an emergency medical garment.

Today, I’m very excited to share with you a new product development at Kappler. The garment is called Provent Plus and has recently been certified to NFPA 1999 as an emergency medical garment. This coverall has elastic ankles and hood and a double storm flap with a adhesive back to secure it. I want to point out that this garment is designed for single use as defined by the standard. I also want to mention that it needs to be worn in conjunction with other protective equipment such as gloves and face and eye protection to provide the proper protection as a system.

The CDC has recommended NFPA 1999 certified garments for protection against the Ebola virus. This is very timely due to the recent report of an outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Republic of Congo in West Africa. It is our intention to provide this garment in a sealed package including a technical data sheet.

The CDC and DEA also recommend NFPA 1999 Certified product for protection against Fentanyl and other powder based opioid compounds. We are very excited about this product and our regional managers will be showing it to interested customers. If you would like additional information on the new Provent Plus garment, please contact Customer Service at 800-600-4019.
